What we believe

We believe in the triune God, who has revealed himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and to whom every single person is accountable for their life. No one manages to live up to the standards of the righteous God — which makes us guilty before him.

Out of unconditional love for us, God himself became human in Jesus Christ and died on the cross in our place to settle this guilt. Only through him is a reconciled life in fellowship with God possible. It gives every person the opportunity to become part of his worldwide church, which finds its expression in the local congregation.

The Holy Spirit renews and transforms the lives of believers. God fills people with his Spirit and gives authority and gifts for service. Jesus Christ is risen and will come again — that is why Christians have the certain hope of eternal life with him.

Our faith is founded on God's word, the Bible. The Apostles' Creed unites us with Christians all over the world.

Our story

How a beginning in a living room became a home for many.

2008 – 2025

Günther & Loni Seidt – founding of Jesus Punkt

In 2008, Pastor Günther Seidt and his wife Loni founded Jesus Punkt in their living room. With great faith, heart, and personal dedication, they built up the church and walked alongside people on their journey into a life with Jesus. Those first gatherings grew into a thriving, vibrant church shaped by Günther and Loni for many years.

Since 2011

Annette & Rainer Dwornik

Annette and Rainer Dwornik have been a vital part of Jesus Punkt since 2011, with heart and soul. From March 2014 to March 2025 they served on the leadership team. Rainer knows the land and people of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern like few others, while Annette has found a new home here. To this day, both remain pillars of our church.

2019 – 2021

Ruth & Stephan Fuhrer

In January 2019, Ruth and Stephan Fuhrer joined the leadership team from Switzerland. They supported the church leadership with renovating the building and further developing Jesus Punkt. Their focus lay in practical work, housekeeping, and guest care. In April 2021 they returned home to Rheinfelden.

2020 – 2022

Simeon Schütz

From June 2020 to January 2022, Simeon Schütz was part of the church leadership. His great passion was for good sound: audio, video, and streaming technology were his specialty. As the youngest member of the leadership team, the young generation was also especially close to his heart. Simeon left Neubrandenburg in January 2022.

Since 2023

Friederike & Claus

Friederike and Claus have been part of the church leadership since 2023. Jesus Punkt has long been the spiritual home of the two of them and their two children. With great heart and dedication, they especially champion the young generation and are involved in youth work as well as the worship team.

2023 – 2025

Philipp Strauch comes to Neubrandenburg

After studying theology at the Theologisches Seminar Erzhausen, Philipp Strauch came to Jesus Punkt in 2023 for his main internship and became part of the church leadership. From October 2023 to October 2025 he completed his two-year vicariate in the church, preparing to take over pastoral ministry.

October 2025

Passing the baton

In October 2025, Günther Seidt handed the leadership of Jesus Punkt over to Philipp Strauch and retired as pastor. Since then, Philipp has carried the pastoral responsibility and continues to carry forward, together with the church, the vision shaped by Günther and Loni. Günther and Loni remain closely connected to Jesus Punkt and continue to actively serve the church life and ministry in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
