What we believe
We believe in the triune God, who has revealed himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and to whom every single person is accountable for their life. No one manages to live up to the standards of the righteous God — which makes us guilty before him.
Out of unconditional love for us, God himself became human in Jesus Christ and died on the cross in our place to settle this guilt. Only through him is a reconciled life in fellowship with God possible. It gives every person the opportunity to become part of his worldwide church, which finds its expression in the local congregation.
The Holy Spirit renews and transforms the lives of believers. God fills people with his Spirit and gives authority and gifts for service. Jesus Christ is risen and will come again — that is why Christians have the certain hope of eternal life with him.
Our faith is founded on God's word, the Bible. The Apostles' Creed unites us with Christians all over the world.
Our story
How a beginning in a living room became a home for many.
Annette & Rainer Dwornik
Annette and Rainer Dwornik have been a vital part of Jesus Punkt since 2011, with heart and soul from the very beginning. From March 2014 to March 2025 they served on the leadership team. Rainer knows the land and people of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern like few others; Annette has found a new home here. They remain pillars of our church.
Ruth & Stephan Fuhrer
In January 2019 Ruth and Stephan Fuhrer joined the leadership team from Switzerland. They supported the church leadership in renovating the building and developing Jesus Punkt — with a focus on practical work, housekeeping and hospitality. In April 2021 they returned home to Rheinfelden.
Simeon Schütz
From June 2020 Simeon Schütz was part of the church leadership. Sound, video and streaming technology were his passion — and as the youngest member of the team, the young generation was close to his heart. Simeon left Neubrandenburg in January 2022.
Friederike & Claus
Friederike and Claus have served in the church leadership since 2023 and have two children. Jesus Punkt has been their spiritual home for a long time. Through their dedication they invest in the young generation in youth work and the worship team.
Philipp Strauch comes to Neubrandenburg
After studying theology at the Theologisches Seminar Erzhausen, Philipp Strauch completed his main internship at Jesus Punkt in 2023 and has been part of the church leadership ever since. From October 2023 to October 2025 he served his two-year vicariate in the church.
Passing the baton
In October 2025 Günther Seidt handed the leadership of the church over to Philipp Strauch, who has been its new pastor ever since — carrying on the vision of Günther and Loni. Günther and Loni continue to serve in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and remain committed members of Jesus Punkt.
